Building evacuated in Hollingwood fire

Two people were treated for slight smoke inhalation after a fire at a nursing home in Hollingwood early this morning.
Two care workers were also assessed by ambulance service personnel.

Fire crews were called to the incident at Elmwood House, on Elm Street, at 1.47am after a fire started in a tumble dryer on the ground floor of the two-storey building which was evacuated.

Officers used breathing apparatus during the operation.
