A police dog unit was deployed to sniff out a ravenous robber who stole a pizza dressed as a cat.
The feline felon, whose face was painted black and wore a set of whiskers, threatened a pizza delivery driver with a baseball bat before stealing the takeaway.

The victim was delivering the order to a property on Masefield Avenue, Holmewood, when the robbery took place just before 1am yesterday.

A police spokesman said: "The offender was 5ft 9in, dressed in black, had black hair and a black painted face with three whiskers on either side of his mouth.

"Aged around 25, he had a baseball bat and approached the delivery driver. He threatened him and took a swing before stealing the pizza.

"We sent a dog unit out to try to track down the offender. The driver was a bit shaken up but wasn't hurt."

A 17-year-old male from Chesterfield was arrested nearby on suspicion of aiding an abetting a robbery. He was later released on bail.

Anyone with information should call Derbyshire Police on 0345 123 3333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
