Gala-goers were blessed with lovely summer weather as they enjoyed all the the fun of the fete.
The village green at Old Whittington was packed full with music, games and colourful stalls during the event on Saturday afternoon.
Children were entranced by magic tricks from a magician and traditional gala games, while jewellery making, a tombola and raffle and a live performance from rock band The Vendettas also entertained the crowds.
Proceeds from this year's gala are going to Derbyshire Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer's Society.
A gala spokeswomen said: "It was a wonderful day and we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out in force to support us and all the volunteers who gave their time.
"The money is still coming in and being counted and we hope to have a final figure by the end of the month."
The Old Whittington Gala Committee is also looking for new members to plan next year's event.
Anyone interested can go to the committe's next meeting on July 29, at the Cock and Magpie pub, Old Whittington, at 7.30pm or call Pat Willerton on (01246) 450897.
