Champion Limousin wins show trophy

The photos on this week’s memory lane pages were featured in the Eastwood and Kimberley Advertiser back in September 1995.

The pictures were taken at the Moorgreen Show by Advertiser photographer Brian Eyre, who is still with us today.

The photo shows Bob Furness receiving the show trophy from the Mayor and Mayoress of Broxtowe, Tom and Monica Martin, for his champion Limousin.

1995 was the first year the show was staged on the Bank Holiday weekend.

There was a craft fair, an antiques road show and a classic car rally.
