This photograph comes from Bryn Maloney’s book, Awsworth Through Time.

It shows the Gate Inn pub.

The photo was taken from the Kimberley side of the viaduct.

The pub was built in the early 1800s and has served many miners after a day down the pit and visitors to the area.
