Who are your heroes?

The Eastwood & Kiimberley Advertiser wants to know who your heroes are for our annual community awards ceremony.

We launched our New Year Honours Awards last year – and are calling on you to nominate our unsung stars.

Many people across the town work tirelessly for the benefit of others and we are giving you the chance to name those you believe deserve special recognition.

People of any age can be nominated for whatever reason – whether it is a volunteering stalwarts at a local club, or someone who helps raise money for charity.

If you know someone who has gone the extra mile for the community – let us know.

In the Advertiser each week we print articles about the generous people in our area.

To nominate your heroes fill out the coupon in the paper and send it to New Year Honours 2012, Eastwood & Kimberley Advertiser, 8 Heanor Road, Ilkeston, DE7 8ER.

Nominations must be in by Monday, December 24.

Once we have our winners we will be holding a simple ceremony highlighting the work they do and will present them with certificates.

Following the presentation ceremony we will be printing a full list of award winners and pictures from the event.
