City gig’s bumper bill for jazz fans
DERBY Jazz kicks off 2012 with a bumper concert at the Assembly Rooms in the city centre on Friday, January 13.
On the bill will be Scott Hamilton and Alan Barnes, with the Dave Newton Trio.
Since emerging on the New York scene of the late 1970s, he has grown to become a completely authentic jazz musician.
On this occasion, he is joined by Alan Barnes, always entertaining, and a great saxophonist in his own right, and the brilliant Dave Newton Trio.
Tickets cost £12 (£10 concessions). Under 19s get in free with an accompanying adult.
