Minster concert for orchestra

NOTTINGHAM Symphony Orchestra members will take a trip to Southwell Minster on Saturday, July 7, for the final concert of their season.

Derek Williams will be conducting the orchestra in performances of Weber’s Der Freischutz Overture, Mahler’s Blumine, originally a movement from an early version of his First Symphony, Bruch’s hugely popular Violin Concerto and Brahms’s Fourth Symphony.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 (no concessions) and £5 for under 21s. All seats are unreserved. They are available from The Minster Shop, Church Street, Southwell on (01636) 812933 and Windblowers, 75-77 Derby Road, Nottingham NG1 5BA on (0115) 941 0543.
