41 Pipes In The Peaks

Pipes in the Peaks is to stage a pair of Last Night of The Proms events, on Saturday, October 13, at 7.30pm and Sunday, October 14, at 2.30pm.

Pipes in The Peaks is situated at Thorpe, near Ashbourne, and will present their tribute to the famous musical extravaganza that is The Last Night of the Proms.

The concerts will feature one of Pipes in the Peaks’ resident organists, Stephen Foulkes from Ripley, and the singing organist Michael Maine, all the way from Brighton.

Both organists will play solo items on the Mighty Compton, while Michael will lead the singing of some patriotic hits.

The concerts will feature a host of musical delights, from popular light music through the decades, light classics, and the usual hits that are played in the Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets are by prior booking only. They cost £15 with doors opening at 6.30pm for the Saturday performance and 2.30pm for the Sunday performance.

A licensed bar is available at both events.
