Selston man is photograph winner

A SELSTON man who captured this picture of red deer resting at Nottingham’s Wollaton Hall has scooped first place in a photography competition.

Gerry Molumby won the first photography competition organised by Experience Nottinghamshire, which promotes tourism in the county.

His picture will feature on the front cover of the 2012 Experience Nottinghamshire visitor guide, which is due for publication later this month.

Mr Molumby said: “This is a great surprise. We have so many wonderful places to photograph here in the city and county.”

More than 200 people entered the competition and some of the images included city scenes, lively local events, snowy landscapes and wildlife.
