Farce from the Arcade Players
Arcade Players, Long Eaton
Long Eaton’s Arcade Players are to perform, Flying Feathers, the second play of their 75th season, later this month.
The hilarious farce is written by Derek Benfield and can be seen at the Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton on February 13-16.
When Chief Constable Henry Potterton and his sister Sarah arrive at the country house of their late lamented brother, they are astonished to find several scantily–clad ladies wandering about, not knowing that Bernard’s housekeeper has turned the place into a ‘house of sin’.
Being fearful of the questions the Chief Constable may ask, she hurriedly tries to hide the truth from him. This leads to many hilarious comings and goings and when Bernard turns up from the ‘Orkneys’ (or is it from ‘Heaven’), the household is thrown into further confusion and chaos
All seats are bookable. You can purchase your tickets, £6 or £5 concessions [Wednesday and Thursday only], at the Chatsworth Arts Centre coffee morning each Saturday from 10am-noon or via the Arcade Players by telephoning 0750 332 9277, or emailingf arcadeplayers@hotmail.co.uk
The theatre has a fully stocked bar and parking adjacent to the Chatsworth Arts Centre and the Market Place is free after 6pm.
