Riverside Theatre Company prepare for their double header

Riverside Drama Company present an evening of comedy with a production of Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! plus a selection of sketches by Fry & Laurie at the Duchess Theatre, Chatsworth Centre, West Gate, Long Eaton, from tonight (Thursday June 28)to Saturday June 30 at 7.30pm each night.

Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!, directed by Gary Peake, features Lizzie O’Hara, Martin Holtom, Rachel Kirkland and Riverside debut-maker Connor Daly.

Fed up with high prices in the supermarket? Frustrated by constant strikes? Frantic at rising train fares? Take the law into your own hands! Fast and furious comic chaos - Dario Fo’s 1974 farce is, quite literally, a riot!

Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! is an hilarious, sharply satirical take on individual responsibility and politics, challenging today’s audience to abandon political cynicism and take to the streets.

Directed by Dan Bates, the hilarious Fry & Laurie sketches that form the other half of the evening’s entertainment may be familiar to anyone who used to watch A Bit of Fry & Laurie and the cast includes Diana Edwards, Janet Lomas, Rob Osmond, Celia Billau, Mike Evans, Mina Minchin, Clare Toska and Bob Baron.

Tickets are £7 full and £5 concessions and are available via www.riversidedrama.com, from the Chatsworth Centre coffee mornings on Saturdays (10am-noon), from Anderson’s Fine Foods & Giftware in Long Eaton Market Place, or by calling 0115 9170327 or 0115 8750506.

The group rehearse every Thursday night at Bramcote Church of England Primary School (7.30pm). New members are always welcome whether you are interested in acting, backstage or front of house. For more information e-mail contact@riversidedrama.com.
