Wilde night out with comic play
Nottingham Playhouse is to stage a production of one of Oscar Wilde’s most famous works, from August 31-September 22.
The Importance Of Being Earnest is a timeless and much-loved comic masterpiece and has delighted audiences since its first staging in 1895.
In the play, Ernest loves Gwendolen and Cecily loves Ernest. What could possibly go wrong?
Men behaving badly, deliberate and accident mistaken identities, secret engagements and some of the wittiest wordplay ever volleyed over cucumber sandwiches abound in this razor-sharp comedy of manners.
Directed by Giles Croft and presented by the Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company, tickets to see the show are £7.50-£27. Call the box office for more details on 0115 9419419.
