A WOMAN who worked on the deli counter in Kimberley's Sainsburys store for 27 years has retired.
Staff threw a big staff party for team leader Val Wysall on her last day.

Val, of Sherwood Rise, Eastwood, said: "It was absolutely excellent. I was overwhelmed. They made it perfect for me. It was a really special day.

"I was really sad to leave. I shall miss the girls on the counter. We were such a good team working together."

The 63-year-old was given handfuls of presents including a canvas wall hanging and leather bag. "I had a trolley full by the time I left!," she said.
