Cake and presentation highlights of Greasley's achievement

Greasley Women's Institute has celebrated its 80th birthday.
Host president Muriel Betts and her members welcomed W.I representatives from Nuthall, Eastwood, Brinsley and Kimberley with special guests federation chairman Vera Carter and Greasley Parish Council chairman June Layton.

A cake was cut by Muriel Betts and a presentation was made to Margaret Nelson, a member for 54-years, who is leaving. Entertainment at the anniversary party, held at Greasley Parish Hall was provided by David Stone, who gave a talk on the art of chocolate making which was followed by a taster session.
