Pupils and staff at Eastwood Infant and Nursery School held a 'go green' celebration after achieving an eco-school bronze award.
To achieve the high standards required, the school took part in a number of environmental projects, alongside an ongoing commitment that promotes awareness of eco school principles.

While working towards the bronze awards pupils have created vegetable plots and a garden area in order to grow crops and flowers on site.

Foundation children played their parts by making bird feeders.

Headtecher Elaine Lyon said: "Teamwork has played its part in our success. We need to work together in order to achieve our ultimate target which is eco gold."

To mark the eco achievement the school have created a new motto: "Be kind to oneself; be kind to each other; be kind to the environment."
