A BMX and skateboard park could be set to be built in Langley Mill.
Langley Mill and Aldercar Parish Council has been in discussions with local police about the project, which would be located at the former Godkin opencasting site.

Clerk of the parish council Sheena Trower said: "We want to provide something for the youngsters of the area and BMX's have become popular since the recent Olympic Games."

The council is now working with Groundwork Erewash to put together a package for the scheme and hopes to submit a planning application and consult with residents in the new year.
