A MAN suffered serious facial injuries after being kicked and beaten as he got off a bus in Kimberley in the early hours of Sunday.
After getting off the R1 trentbarton bus on Main Street, Kimberley at about 2.50am on June 29, the 38-year-old victim approached three young men who had also been on the bus and had been shouting abusive and insulting language throughout the journey.

They kicked and punched the man to the ground before running off, leaving the man lying on the ground with a fractured jaw and eye socket.
Emergency services were called and the victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre. He was allowed home on Monday.

All three offenders are described as white and aged in their early 20s. One of the men was wearing a black top and one was wearing a white top.

Two white women, wearing fancy dress outfits, were also near the attack and thought to be with the men. Notts Police would like to speak to any witnesses about the attack. Anyone with any information should contact Pc Dean Melville on 0115 967 0999 ext 4864.

Officers would particularly like to speak with anyone who was on the R1 bus, which left Nottingham's Victoria Bus Centre, at 2.30am on Sunday, June 29.

The bus passed through Nuthall before arriving in Kimberley. It then headed off to Eastwood, Langley Mill, and its final destination at Ripley.
