Langley Mill's safer neighbourhood team has set their priorities for the next quarter.
The plans for the next three months have been decided by residents at the team's Neighbourhood Panel meeting.

One of the priorities agreed was to improve youth facilities and explore the idea of building a skate park or BMX track.

PC Julie Wreford said: "Although this plan is only in the early stages, we are very pleased that the residents who attended our meeting are so keen to provide facilities for young people.

"A lot of issues occurring within the local area are happening because the youth community in Langley Mill and Heanor are bored. Something like a skate park or BMX track would give them a fun and active way to spend their leisure time.

"We still have a long way to go with this idea but we are looking for feedback from members of the local community, especially from young
people.

If you have any thoughts, opinions or questions please contact the Langley Mill Safer Neighbourhood team on 0845 123 33 33.
