Rosemary Conley gave a talk about life as a devout Christian at an Eastwood church.
The fitness ace, familiar from her TV appearances, visited the Assemblies of God Church at Hilltop on Tuesday night and spoke to over 120 members of the public, including Eastwood Mayor Cllr Josie Forrest and chairwoman of Greasley Parish Council, Cllr June Layton.

She talked about how her life changed when she turned to God just over 20 years ago, and did a Powerpoint presentation about Steps, the charity she supports.

Guests were asked to make a donation and £500 was raised, which will all go to the charity.

Steps supports young children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and Down's syndrome.

Church member Iris Barber said: "We had a fantastic evening. Rosemary talked about experiences in her secular life and her Christian life.

"She had a serious illness years ago and her thoughts turned towards God. She said it was a turning point both for her health and her spiritual life."
