Beauvale Court care home held its summer fair last Saturday.
Eastwood Mayor Cllr Keith Longdon and Broxtowe Mayor Cllr John Longdon, were both invited along to the event, which raised around £400 for the residents' social fund.
There was a home-made cakes stall, handmade candles and ornaments, a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, cream teas and a group of singers and dancers offering entertainment to those who attended the summer fair throughout the afternoon.
Cllr Keith Longdon said: "It went very well. It's a worthwhile cause and it was a pleasure to be there."
Beauvale Court will be knocked down over the next couple of years when an extra care centre is built behind it.
The new 50-home complex is part of a £90 million Nottinghamshire County Council scheme, but some Eastwood councillors believe it will not offer a good enough service for dementia sufferers.
