Watnall WI have planned a series of events to replace a crumbing wall.
The wall currently at Main Road, Watnall, is falling down and members are desperate to build a new £10,000 one quickly.

So they have arranged a one-hour jumble, bric-a-brac and book sale at the hall on Saturday, from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

They have also planned a concert, talk on Peru and afternoon tea.
Hall secretary Helen Rose said: "You can see right through the wall, but funders are not interested in walls even if they are falling down due to age.

"So, we are having to raise the £10,000 needed ourselves, and the sale is the first step."

Today's Vote

Do you think there is room for development in our area, or do you agree with protesters that it's being turned into a "brick jungle"?
No more development, we're losing our beautiful countryside.
The protesters are overreacting
