A pub in Awsworth is hosting a series of Movember events to raise money to help find a Prostate Cancer cure.
Last year several events at The Gate Inn on Main Street raised £3,400 for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre which helped fund clinical trials for cancer drugs.
And this year they are hoping to raise even more money for the cause.
Pub-goers are being encouraged to grow a sponsored moustache or beard as part of the national Movember campaign with sponsorship forms available at the bar.
On October 31, the pub will host a Halloween party including a pumpkin carving competition and live entertainment from One-Way Monkey.
November 5 will see a Firework Display at The Gate Inn with a BBQ and dancing from the Black Pig Border Morris Men.
Finally there will be a grand Shave-a-thon on November 30 where Movember participants will shave off their facial hair and endure a sponsored leg or chest wax which will be accompanied by some entertainment from Chris on the piano.
Throughout the month there will also be a raffle with prizes including a day at the races.
