A bus driver who works for trent barton in Langley Mill wowed X-Factor judges with his singing.
James MacDonald – who regularly sings to customers on board his indigo bus – sailed through the first round of auditions, impressing judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger.
Sadly he was then knocked out of the competition, as he sang to a live audience at the 02 arena.
James says he will audition for the show again next year. In the meantime he plans to start singing in pubs and expects many more song requests from his customers travelling on indigo buses between Nottingham and Derby.
The 25-year-old from Forest Fields said: “Passengers already ask me to belt out a tune when they climb on board, but after appearing on TV I think this will happen a little more often now!”
The programmes featuring James were aired last Saturday and Sunday.
