YOUNG people aged 15 to 25 across the county were invited to a free careers fair where they could find out about apprenticeships, training and college courses and volunteering.
The fair was held at the Djanogly City Academy on Gregory Boulevard in Nottingham yesterday, March 17.
The event was organised by the Just Ask Project which is part of Catch22, the local young people’s charity with a national reach.
Isa Widdowson, Project Manager for Just Ask, said: “Our project is run by young people who really understand the difficulties many young people face in the current competitive job market.
“This careers fair was a great opportunity for young people who are not in education, training or employment to find out about potential job opportunities and talk to their peers about any difficulties they might be facing in their job hunts.”
The Just Ask project combines the best features of a website with a dynamic outreach service that provides access to information on jobs.
