AN EASTWOOD firm which came to the aid of 850 flooded homes and businesses this winter has won a national award.
Husband and wife team Geoff and Sharon Clarence and their 24-strong staff at Rainbow International helped families recover from flooding caused by burst pipes during one of the coldest winters on record.
Their technicians worked around the clock to restore homes and businesses and carried out the equivalent of one year’s call-outs in a two month period. The business also played a major part in helping the victims of flooding in Bramcote last year when 120 homes were flooded after a mains pipe burst.
They were awarded the Franchise of the Year award from disaster recovery expert Rainbow International
Geoff said: “It has been an awful winter for so many people but our team has worked long and hard to help restore people’s possessions, homes and businesses.
“The level of instructions that we received is unprecedented and we are extremely grateful to our staff for their commitment to helping customers.”
Geoff and Sharon, whose firm covers Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, beat off competition from 86 franchises in the Rainbow International network to win.
