A CHARITY café in Kimberley has received donations from Eon and a county councillor.
Rumbletums café, for people with learning disabilities, has received £2,000 from Eon energy and £250 from Cllr Ken Rigby, who represents the town on Nottinghamshire County Council.
Eon’s Employee Community fund helps support education projects or vulnerable consumers.
n Rumbletums has also launched its own website after winning a competition.
The café in Newdigate Street won a website worth £500 from A3 Media, but as a charity the firm provided them with a site worth £1,000.
Creative director Aaron Lee, said: “Rumbletums was possibly our most enjoyable project; knowing we are doing something we enjoy without it being all about a profit, just for a good cause.”
Rumbletums offers supported training and work experience placements to 18- to 25-year-olds with learning disabilities.
