BROXTOWE MP Anna Soubry is urging local retailers to set up a Post Office in Nuthall after the town has been left without one for a year and a half.
Ms Soubry wants to restore the Post Office service, after the death of Rob Jones in January last year left residents without one.
Nuthall Temple Post office has been closed for some 16 months, much to the despair of local residents, who currently have to travel to Kimberley, Watnall and Broxtowe to obtain local Postal services.
Anna said: “I have written to the Post Office on a number of occasions, and they have assured me they are keen to find an alternative venue for a Post Office in Nuthall area.
“I fear if people don’t apply, the people of Nuthall may permanently lose Post Office Counter services.”
