Government plans to introduce a new interactive rating system for residential care homes across the country have been welcomed by Nottinghamshire County Council.
The Government has announced proposals which are intended to improve standards and safeguard against mistreatment.
They include the creation of a new ‘Trip Advisor’ style where provide feedback and report concern.
Cllr Kevin Rostance, cabinet member for adult social care and health said: “Families need to know that the home they are entrusting with their elderly relative with will treat them with dignity and respect.
“We hope that a new transparent, rating system by residents and their families will help to improve standards at the rest.”
