Derby and District Branch of Cats Protection is appealing for fieldwork volunteers in the Eastwood area.
At the moment, the charity has only a handful of people locally who give up some of their spare time to carry out this role.
The Branch points out that full training and support will be given to anyone who applied and, although they would need their own transport, they would be supplied with all the appropriate equipment.
The most vital part of the job is that they may on occasion have to deliver and set a humane trap as the cat may not be ‘handleable’ so volunteers need to be resolute at times.
Apart from a love of cats, you would need to be sensible, patient and professional.
If you have these qualities and would like a copy of the volunteer job description, please ring the Charity’s Cat-Line on 01332206956 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
