The DH Lawrence Heritage Centre in Eastwood has been shortlisted for yet another prestigious award.
Durban House in Mansfield Road and the Birthplace Museum in Victoria Street have been shortlisted for Best Visitor Attraction in the Nottinghamshire STARS awards.
In 2009 the centre scooped two awards in the Nottinghamshire STARS Awards for Team of the Year and Best Ambassador and three awards for The East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards.
In 2010 it won Best Event in the Nottinghamshire Heritage Awards.
Cabinet member for arts, culture and leisure, councillor Richard Robinson, said it was a ‘real credit’ to the team to have received the nomination, and an ‘honour’ for the centre to be shortlisted.
The centre faces tough competition from Stonebridge City Farm and the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham which have also been shortlisted.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 21.
Nottinghamshire STARS awards recognises the talent, commitment and outstanding contribution that individuals and businesses make to the county’s tourism, culture, leisure and hospitality industries.
