BROXTOWE Borough Council’s mayor raised over £1,400 at his annual charity ball.
Mayor, Pat Lally said he was overwhelmed by the amount raised at the 40s themed ball last week, the East Midlands Conference Centre.
Cllr Lally invited friends, family, fellow councillors, local businesses, council officers and residents to show their support for his two chosen charities.
The annual event was enjoyed by over 200 guests who helped to raise money for The Hope Café in Beeston and St George’s Mother and Child Hospital in Umunumo, Nigeria.
The grand raffle also saw 12 guests get their hands on a host of fantastic prizes that were generously donated by local businesses.
