Charity fashion show raises £375

Models took to the catwalk in Kimberley this week to raise £375 for Cancer Research UK and HOPE Nottingham.

The glamorous fashion show was opened and hosted by Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Stan Heptinstall MBE, and although he did not strut his stuff on the catwalk, volunteer models did.

The show, courtesy of SOS Fashion, gave guests a sneak peak of some of the items they could purchase later in the evening.

With top high street brands including Next, River Island, Monsoon, Wallis and Topshop, as well as French and Italian designers available for half price or less, it was the perfect opportunity for guests to update their wardrobes in time for autumn - and all for a good cause.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research into more than 200 types of cancer.

While HOPE Nottingham provides for the practical needs of the homeless, with a drop-in centre and soup kitchen.

The evening took place on Monday (September 1) at Kettlebrook Lodge on Eastwood Road.

SOS Fashion has been running fashion shows and sales for over 25 years and offer up-to-date clothing at reduced prices, as well as offering an enjoyable evening out.
