An Eastwood charity is appealing for donations of jam jars to help sell buttons at an event in the new year.
Communities Against Poverty is planning the sale to help raise money for local events such as Brinsley Headstocks Festival.
Buttons will be sold in small glass jars at the event on January 25 next year, and the profits will be used to support future events.
Di Shorter, the group’s treasurer, is appealing for small glass jars, the type used for individual portions of jam.
The event will be held from 10am to 2pm at The Wood Gallery in Scargill Walk.
Readers can drop their empty jars at The White Peacock cafe on Victoria Street.
