A charity gave shoppers in Langley Mill the chance to experience the effects of cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration as part of their campaign to encourage people to look after their eyes.

Sight Support Derbyshire were in ASDA to raise awareness about eye conditions, the range of services the charity offers to people with visual impairment, and the importance of eye examinations.

Eye tests are free for those aged 16 and under, for people aged 60 and over, for those with glaucoma or diabetes and for people in receipt of certain income-related benefits. See www.nhs.uk for more information.
