A charity weekend at the Sun Inn pub in Eastwood raised £800 for MacMillan CancerSupport.
Landlady Pam Darling arranged for a fire engine and a digger that kids could look around, staff had their heads in the stocks (as our photo shows) and there was an auction, bouncy castle and a paddling pool.
Eastwood MP Gloria De Piero was the special guest and she donated a bottle of House of Commons wine for the raffle. She said: “Pam and her team deserve so much credit for raising that much cash for charity.
“It’s yet another example of the fantastic community spirit that exists in Eastwood and I was delighted to be able to offer my support.”
The Eastwood Arcadians band provided the entertainment.
