KIMBERLEY Scouts were presented with a cheque at their annual Christmas show to help with costs for the 2012 jamboree in Denmark. Cllr Roy Plumb handed over the £500 to leader James Greenfield and Scouts, Alex Cargiland and Anna Walster, who will be attending the jamboree with over 30 other Scouts, Explorers and Leaders from the Beauvale Scout District.

James Greenfield, 2nd Kimberley Scouts group leader, said: “We’re really grateful for the donation.

“The jamboree experience will enable our young members to experience Scouting and Guiding the Danish way.”

The show was held at Kettlebrook Lodge. A raffle on the night and entry fees raised £200 for the upkeep of the lodge.
