Children urged to grow charity daffs

Fundraisers at Marie Curie in Kimberley are encouraging children to take part in their ‘mini pots of care’ campaign.

The annual fundraising scheme sees kids grow and nurture daffodils to help the charity, which raises money to pay for nurses to look after terminally ill people in their own home.

Last year over 3,200 Schools, nurseries and organisations took part. The children receive a free kit including daffodil bulbs to plant in the autumn and care for throughout the winter months, reflecting the work of Marie Curie nurses.
