A classic games retailer has chosen to launch its first high street store in Eastwood after ten years of trading online.

Firetop Mountain has been selling traditional toys and games through their online website since 2004 but the company is now preparing to open their first shop.

The new store on Mansfield Road will open its doors on November 1 with a special first-day offer of ten per cent off.

Owner Sarah Taylor who launched Firetop Mountain with partner Stephen Lally, said it had been their dream for a long time to open a store and there was not a toy shop in Eastwood at the moment.

She added: “We are so pleased we are finally opening a real shop and we hope the community love it and come and see us.”

Firetop Mountain online is currently the biggest retailer of dice in the UK, selling half a million a year, but the owners hope the new store will expand the company.

Stephen said: “We want to have a hands-on toy shop and we hope to run interactive workshops such as loom band and craft sessions.

Firetop Mountain is next to Phoenix Cue Sports and is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 5pm.
