Council finalists five times

BROXTOWE Borough Council was commended at a national public sector awards ceremony last week for ‘delivering excellence’ across five areas of its frontline services.

The council was shortlisted for best public-voluntary partnership for its work with Nottingham Credit Union, best information and communication technology initiative for helping to facilitate a community-based website in Bramcote, best street cleansing and streetscene services, best parks, grounds and horticultural Service and best sports, leisure and cultural service.

The APSE Service Delivery Awards, held in Bristol, attracted over 300 submissions from local authorities across the country in a range of award categories,

Leader of the council, Cllr Milan Radulovic, said: “To be among the finalists is a fantastic achievement for any council service.”
