Broxtowe Borough councillor Richard Robinson has called for a public apology from Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry after she expressed her concerns about fincances at Kimberley Town Council.

In an email to Ms Soubry, Mr Robinson said: “You claimed that tax payers money was being spent irresponsibly, the reserves had been ‘all but spent’, and that councillors were denied financial details.”

The town council has since been investigated and has been found to be correctly managing its finances.

Ms Soubry is yet to make such an apology, but Mr Robinson has said he will keep pressing until a public apology is made.
