Kimberley councillors are determined to get something done about the state of the road in the town’s Hardy Street.

Richard Robinson, Mary McGuckin and Andy Cooper have received a lot of complaints about the pot holes and general state of the road in Hardy Street.

Cllr Robinson said: “The state of Hardy Street is really quite abysmal, and will no doubt deteriorate further.

“We are going to do whatever we can to get permanent and significant enhancements to the road surface in this area.

The three councillors pressed for improvements in Maws Lane last year, which were eventually carried out.
