Creative skills to go on show at Underwood scarecrow festival

Underwood and Bagthorpe are coming together for their eighth annual Scarecrow Festival on the weekend of April 25-26.

All residents in teh area are urged to take part and come up with creative ideas – prizes will be given as the public votes for the most artistic, most imaginative andf funniest scarecrows in the festival.

Penny Fell said: “It’s a great weekend for all ages to either make a scarecrow or to walk, run or drive around looking for them all.”

Visit St Michael’s Church, on Church Lane, to buy your map, quiz sheets and voting slips and have a cuppa with some cake.
