Crime reduced in Greasley parish

CRIME has reduced by 28 per cent in Greasley.

PCSO Martyn Barsby said at a Greasley Parish Council meting this week that between April 1 and September 11, crime figures had dropped by 28 per cent when compared with the same period last year.

He said crime had improved in the area more than any other area in the Broxtowe North division.

House burglaries had gone from 15 reported incidents last year to three this year, buglaries of commercial premises and sheds had dropped from 15 incidents to six, criminal damage had gone from five incidents to one, theft from 36 to 28, theft from vehicles nine incidents to two, and violence against a person 17 incidents to eight.
