Eastwood crime figures revealed

POLICE officers working in Eastwood revealed the latest crime figures at a town council meeting this week.

Peter Keeley and Ross Clarke compared the number of crimes between January 1 and March 28, with the same period last year.

In the north of the town there were three burglaries compared with one this year and nine incidents of criminal damage compared with four last year. Theft had risen, however, from one incident last year to five this year.

In Eastwood south burglary went from 17 to just four, but criminal damage rose from 37 last year to 59 this year and theft 22 last year to 57 this year.
