Gun terror in raid on store

ARMED robbers struck at a shop in Nuthall last weekend and escaped with handfuls of cash.
Two men – brandishing a knife and a suspected gun – went into McColls convenience store in Ash Crescent with their faces covered and demanded money out of the till.
Craig Huckall lives opposite the shop and said he heard screaming and shouting.
“One of them must have stood outside because I could here ‘go, go, go’,” he said.
“I could hear shouting and screaming, but I thought nothing of it because it’s always noisy around here with the Oakash Court flats at the end.

“It becomes background noise after a while.
“Then the next morning I heard that they had been held up at gun point.
“It’s a bit surprising. It’s not good at all. We moved here three years ago and it’s the second time it’s happened.
“It was the Spar shop next door last time and they used crow bars.”
Mr Huckall said the business had only been open three weeks since it changed from being a Premier shop.
Police have now released CCTV images of one of the suspects.
Detective Inspector Andrew Bateman said: “This was a nasty incident which has left the staff member involved incredibly shaken.
