Man in court over robbery

A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Nuthall shop.

Daniel Lawrence, of Beckley Road, Broxtowe, Nottingham, is accused of carrying out the robbery on Sunday January 22.

During a raid on the store a quantity of cash was stolen from the convenience store in Ash Crescent.

Lawrence was arrested in the Basford area of Nottingham on Wednesday February 1.

He was questioned by detectives and charged with robbery, possession of an imitation firearm and possession of a bladed or pointed instrument later that day.

Lawrence appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Friday.
