Pair of burglars target flat

THUGS burst in to an Ilkeston house demanding cash from the occupant, who was in bed at the time, police have said.

Police have this week appealed for witnesses to the burglary, which happened at about 11.45pm on Wednesday March 7 in South Street.

They stole the victim’s wallet and his mobile phone.

The first thug was described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall, in his early 20s, of average build, clean shaven, with short dark hair and a local accent.

He was wearing a dark hoodie with bright yellow writing across the shoulder.

The second man was wearing a mask and was described as around 5ft 8ins tall, of average build and wearing dark gloves.
