A SHOTGUN and suspected drugs have been found after a series of police raids today (Friday) in Ilkeston and surrounding areas.
A total of four men were arrested during the raids in Ilkeston, Mapperley, Sandiacre and Long Eaton.
Three are still being questioned by officers.
The shotgun was found at a house in The Limes, Mapperley, along with what officers believe to be controlled drugs.
A 68-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a shotgun without a licence and possession of drugs and a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.
Around 30 suspected cannabis plants were found at a house in Shipley Common Lane, Ilkeston.
One man aged 36 was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Cash and equipment which could be used to grow cannabis has been found at a house in Colin Avenue, Sandiacre.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the house on suspicion of production of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, money laundering and possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition, which was recovered previously at an address in Long Eaton.
Police have asked for anyone with information about drugs in their area to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
