NUTHALL residents have claimed a teenager was stabbed in the village over a five pound debt.

Witnesses to the brutal attack at the Oakash Court flats last Friday say the 19-year-old had his mobile phone stolen and was stabbed in the neck and abdomen and slashed across the face with a Stanley knife – all because he owed his attacker £5.

“He took his phone off him, went back over to his car across the road and then came back with a Stanley knife. All over a fiver apparently.

“There was blood all over the floor next to my bin,” one witness, who did not want to be named, told the Advertiser this week.
